Defeating and Capturing Dialga - Pokemon Shuffle iPhone

This is one difficult level. Almost impossible if you don't use extra items. I want this Pokemon though so I used up the 2 add-ons I got from completing other levels.

Good luck! ^_^

Pokemon Shuffle on iOS and Android

So, Nintendo finally gave in. Initially, they intended the Pokemon Shuffle to remain as a free app in Nintendo DS, but maybe they realized sales here and decided to open this as a free game to the entire world who owns iOS and Android which pretty much sums up - the whole world in my dictionary!

Now I am not sure if the Pokemon Shuffle hacks and cheats I previously posted are still applicable - I highly doubt it. But I'm sure some of you geniuses have a tip or two to give. If you do, please be generous and help each other play this game the best way we can!

Here's a live stream recording of a girl playing Pokemon Shuffle on iPad from the very beginning.

And another session...

Let me know how you find the game! Yaye? Naye?

Pokemon Shuffle Tips

Pokemon Shuffle already passed 1 Million downloads about 3 days ago it's crazy! Many would agree though that as you progress, the levels become more difficult, especially in capturing megastones. Mega Glalie anyone? Crazy right? I was able to defeat Mega Glalie just without any hack or cheat (yes, purely my own sweat and blood) by pure perseverance and luck. Of course I already played it about 100 times before I actually defeated it! This meant playing and waiting for my hearts to replenish every 2 hours! Honestly, I beat it before these people uploaded cheats on Pokemon Shuffle or hacks to get unlimited hearts and coins. Phew! What a game! I'm proud of myself.

Anyway, here are some legit tips and tricks in playing and advancing in Pokemon Shuffle.

1. Use your hearts efficiently!

Each level will require consuming 1 heart whether you won the level or not. A heart replenishes after 30 minutes. This means, play every 2.5 hours if you want to maximize your hearts per day. That's 48 hearts maximum per day, except when you first play it, you will have 5 more hearts. 48 hearts will only happen if you don't sleep so that's not attainable. 20 hearts a day is good enough without killing yourself and without spending any single coin or real money.

Note also that, the counter for when the next heart will replenish, will only start to countdown when you only have 4 hearts left. So if you have 90, the timer will not start until you use up all 86 hearts.

2. Be frugal

Save your coins! If you have all the money in the world, and if it is your choice to spend to play - sure. Do whatever floats your banana boat. But if you don't want to spend a single dime, save your money. There are plenty of opportunities and options to get jewels.

You can get more jewels in Pokemon Shuffle by:
  • Street passing - you get hearts when you streetpass a fella playing Pokemon Shuffle too
  • Completing stages for the first time
  • Checking in - do this daily and you will get 500 coins. After every 10th visit, you will be rewarded double
  • Playing special events - adds more coins when you play
  • Play Meowth stage - match the coins on this level and get coins!

I have to admit that the gameplay is really addicting, but you could take the approach of not spending any money as a challenge.

3. Remember Pokemon weaknesses and strengths

Whatever the strength and weakness of a Pokemon that applies in the real RPG game also applies in Pokemon shuffle. Use this knowledge and you will land "super effective" moves. That's why it's essential to catch the Pokemon necessary to defeat the one you want.

4. Stay tuned for events

At the lower right section of the lower screen, you can see option to play special stages. You can enocounter event Pokemon, like the legendary Mew as of the moment. These are being offered at a limited amount of time so make sure to save enough hearts to capture these. You can also encounter Daily Pokemon, and like I mentioned above, if a Meowth appears, match the coins to get more and more coins! You can also catch different forms of Rotum.
  • Monday – Ice Rotum
  • Tuesday – Fire Rotum
  • Wednesday – Water Rotum
  • Thursday – Grass Rotum
  • Friday – Flying Rotum
  • Saturday, Sunday – Meowth
5. Play effeciently and effectively

Meaning, play with the shortest time, or the least amount of moves as much as possible. To do this, you have to take advantage of #3 above - the Pokemon's weakness and use the Pokemon that has the power to abuse that weakness. Also, it helps if you do high combos. I was able to capture a legendary at just 20% and 10%, this goes to say it took me so many tries first. Yes, but I did not spend coins. I used greatball for Dragonite though, because I was desperate. But still, I did not use real money.

6. Take the challenge!

This game gets really addicting. And you know you wanna play more, but you don't have any more hearts - which is a real test of patience! So take this as a challenge. Don't use any jewels or coins. Odds are, you can still defeat or capture that Pokemon eventually after nth amount of times. Okay I don't think that was an encouraging thought (lol), but yeah you know what I mean!

7. Use Mega Evolutions

They are really helpful! Especially in trying to remove barriers, or unwanted Pokemon or distractions.

These are all the Pokemon Shuffle tips and tricks I could think of without hacking Pokemon Shuffle. Hope this helps!

Here comes Pokemon Shuffle!

Pokemon Shuffle just recently has been released. Pokemon fans (or not) are excited to play this FREE Pokemon Shuffle game for their NDS. Pokemon Shuffle is a 3-match puzzle game and is free for download. Just go to the Nintendo e-Shop to download.

This works just a little bit like Bejeweled or Candy Crush where you need to match 3 Pokemon or more in one line. You are given 5 hearts that you will use each and every time you play a level. These hearts can be replenished as time passes (30 mins until 1 heart replenishes). If you are impatient and can't wait, you can trade in-game currency (jewels) or by purchasing jewels on Nintendo eShop. Yes,  you can play for free, but if you want to advance fast, you need to shell out real cash.

In every stage, you will encounter a Pokemon and create combos to defeat it within the turn limit, or time limit provided. After defeating the Pokemon, you can also capture it like in the real RPG Pokemon game.

You can collect 150 Pokemon in a game, and more! If you keep on having rank "S" in every level, you will unlock legendary and special Pokemon. Getting rank "S" means you defeated the Pokemon in the most effective and efficient way as possible. This means, that if you are given limited turns, let's say 20, and you used only 5 turns to defeat Pokemon, this ranks better than when you use all the turns given. If it is a timed game, you defeat the Pokemon in the least time as possible. Having extra turns or time after you defeat the Pokemon also gives you more chances of catching it!

You can also get megastones for some Pokemon in the game which will really help you complete the game and catch them all!

Have fun playing!
